About The Woodlands Country Club

The Woodlands Country Club is a private 36-hole club established in 1974 within The Woodlands master-planned community north of Houston, Texas. The Tournament Course, designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge, served as the longtime host of the Shell Houston Open on the PGA Tour from 1978 through 2003, cementing the club's standing as a significant venue in Texas professional golf. A second 18-hole layout, the Palmer Course, was added in 1990 and designed by Arnold Palmer himself.
