Baltimore Country Club, founded in 1898 in Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, is one of the oldest private clubs in the United States, home to the celebrated A.W. Tillinghast-designed Five Farms East Course. The club has hosted major championships including the 1899 U.S. Open, the 1965 Walker Cup, and the 1988 U.S. Women's Open. Its Tudor-revival Five Farms clubhouse, built in 1926, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, adding a layer of architectural distinction to an already historically significant property.
