Bretton Woods Recreation Center
Germantown, MD · Golf Club · Est. 1972
Bretton Woods Recreation Center is a private 18-hole club in Germantown, Maryland, originally established to serve employees of international financial institutions such as the IMF and World Bank. Designed by Mid-Atlantic architect Ed Ault and opening in 1968, the course plays to a par 72 at 6,663 yards and features strategic water hazards and mature tree-lined fairways that have challenged players for decades. The club hosted the Maryland State Amateur Championship in 1985 and underwent renovations by Ault, Clark & Associates in 1998 to modernize the layout while preserving its original character.
