Austin Country Club
Austin, TX · Country Club · Est. 1899
Austin Country Club is one of Texas's oldest private clubs, founded in 1899 and now situated along the scenic shores of Lake Austin in the Texas Hill Country. The Pete Dye-designed championship course, opened in 1984 and refined in 2015, offers a distinctive dual-terrain routing that moves between lakeside lowlands and canyon highlands. The club holds deep historical significance as the former home of legendary instructor Harvey Penick, whose teachings shaped champions Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite, and served as the host venue for the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play from 2016 to 2023.
