About BraeBurn Country Club
BraeBurn Country Club is one of Houston's oldest private clubs, founded in 1926 and situated along Bissonnet Street on an 18-hole championship course originally designed by Golden Age architect John Bredemus. The club carries deep historical significance as the former home club of World Golf Hall of Famer Jimmy Demaret, who won nine PGA Tour events including the 1940 Masters during his tenure as head professional. A comprehensive 2021–2022 renovation by Tripp Davis & Associates restored the course to its Golden Age parkland roots, enhancing playability while honoring its classic heritage.
