The Country Club of Spartanburg, founded in 1908 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, holds a unique place in golf history as the club where Walter Hagen began his professional career in 1913. Designed originally by Henri Watts and renovated by Fred Findlay in 1948, the 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches 6,902 yards and hosted the 1926 South Carolina Amateur Championship.
