About The Philadelphia Cricket Club

The Philadelphia Cricket Club, founded in 1854 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is one of the oldest country clubs in the United States and home to the oldest golf course still operating at its original site in America. The club's flagship Wissahickon Course, a 1922 A.W. Tillinghast design restored by Keith Foster in 2013-2014, is ranked among Golf Magazine's Top 100 Classical Courses and plays to a demanding 7,119 yards with a slope rating of 144. Philadelphia Cricket also holds a rare distinction in championship golf history, having hosted both the 1907 and 1910 U.S. Open Championships, and remains one of the few clubs in the country to maintain an active cricket pitch.
