Philadelphia Country Club is one of the oldest and most distinguished private clubs in the United States, founded in 1890 and situated in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. The club's Spring Mill Course, a masterwork of William Flynn's Philadelphia School architecture, hosted the 1959 U.S. Amateur and 2003 U.S. Women's Amateur Championships and is celebrated for its dramatic elevation changes and classic bunkering. With 36 holes and a championship pedigree spanning more than a century, Philadelphia Country Club remains a landmark of American golf history.
