Pine Island Country Club is a private 18-hole club established in the early 1960s in Charlotte, North Carolina, featuring a classic course design by renowned Carolinas architect Ellis Maples. Known for his minimal-disturbance philosophy and natural course routing, Maples crafted a layout distinguished by elevated greens and natural stream crossings that remains a fixture in Charlotte's northern suburbs. A 2006 renovation by Kris Spence refreshed the course while preserving its traditional character, and the club has hosted notable regional championships including the Carolinas Amateur.
