The Tuxedo Club
Tuxedo Park, NY · Golf Club · Est. 1886
The Tuxedo Club is one of America's oldest private country clubs, founded in 1886 as part of Pierre Lorillard IV's exclusive Tuxedo Park enclave in New York's Hudson Valley. The club introduced golf to its members in 1892, making it among the earliest golf facilities in the United States, and its 18-hole course was later redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1953. The club has hosted significant USGA competitions, including the 1956 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
