Sleepy Hollow Country Club
Scarborough, NY · Country Club · Est. 1911
Sleepy Hollow Country Club is a storied private club founded in 1911 on the former Vanderbilt family estate in Scarborough, New York, overlooking the Hudson River. The original 18-hole course was designed by Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor in 1913, with a third nine added by A.W. Tillinghast in 1928 and comprehensive restorations completed by Gil Hanse in 2006 and 2017. The club's historic 1895 Vanderbilt mansion serves as its clubhouse, and the course features classic template holes — including Redan and Biarritz designs — set against dramatic elevation changes with sweeping river views.
