North Hempstead Country Club

North Hempstead Country Club is a historic private club founded in 1916 on the rolling terrain of Port Washington, New York's Long Island North Shore. The 18-hole, par-71 course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast and later restored by Stephen Kay in 2007, preserving the original bunkering patterns that define Tillinghast's classical style. The club has hosted notable regional championships including the 1927 Metropolitan Open and the 1961 Metropolitan PGA Championship.
