Originally designed by Devereux Emmet and significantly redesigned by A.W. Tillinghast in 1921, the course was further restored by Gil Hanse in 2017, preserving its classic bunkering and strategic character. The club has hosted notable regional championships, including the 1923 Metropolitan PGA Championship and the 1979 Metropolitan Open.
