Village Club of Lake Success is a private 18-hole club in Lake Success, NY, notable for its storied Devereux Emmet-designed course — one of the architect's final works — built on grounds acquired from the Vanderbilt-Whitney estate. The club's property holds a remarkable place in history, having served as a temporary headquarters for the United Nations from 1946 to 1951, and the course has since been refined through restorations by Stephen Kay in 2002 and Gil Hanse in 2014.
