Hillendale Country Club is a private, member-owned club founded in the early 1920s on rolling farmland in Phoenix, Maryland, approximately 15 miles north of Baltimore. The 18-hole championship course was originally designed by Herbert Strong and later expanded and refined by Edmund Ault in 1959, playing to a demanding slope rating of 134. Natural spring-fed streams traverse multiple holes, and the club has hosted notable regional events including the Maryland State Amateur Championship and the Maryland Open.
