About Columbia Country Club
Columbia Country Club is one of the Washington, D.C. area's most historic private clubs, founded in 1898 in the leafy enclave of Chevy Chase, Maryland. The 18-hole course was redesigned in 1915 by Donald Ross, whose signature undulating greens and strategic bunkering remain defining features of the layout. The club cemented its national standing by hosting the 1921 U.S. Open, one of the most celebrated major championships in early American golf history.
