The course was among the final designs completed by acclaimed architect Dick Wilson before his death in 1968, and has since been refined through renovations by Arthur Hills, playing to 6,739 yards with a slope rating of 136. The club has hosted notable regional competitions including the 1979 Illinois PGA Section Championship and the 1985 Illinois State Amateur.
