The Stanford University Golf Course is a historic semi-private layout on the Stanford University campus in Stanford, California, designed in 1930 by the celebrated architectural duo of George C. Thomas Jr. and William P. Bell. The par-71 course is consistently ranked among the finest collegiate courses in America, known for its narrow fairways, small greens, and demanding strategic design, including a par-4 fifth hole reputed to be one of the toughest in the western United States. The course has hosted three NCAA Championships and underwent a significant restoration by John Harbottle III in 1998.
