The Peninsula Golf & Country Club is a historic private club founded in 1911 in San Mateo, California, set amid a canopy of eucalyptus trees on the San Francisco Peninsula. The 18-hole, par-72 course was originally designed by Donald Ross in 1922 and later refined by Jay Morrish and Rees Jones in 1997, retaining signature Ross elements including a rare cloverleaf bunker. The club's championship pedigree includes hosting the 1931 Trans-Mississippi Amateur and the 1947 U.S. Women's Amateur.
