About San Jose Country Club
San Jose Country Club is one of Northern California's oldest private golf clubs, founded in 1896 and rooted in the region's early golfing heritage. Originally designed by John McLaren and later refined in a 1998 renovation by the father-son team of John Harbottle II and III, the 18-hole, par-70 course features a slope rating of 134 and is anchored by a 300-year-old heritage oak guarding the 6th hole. The club notably hosted the 1981 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, cementing its place in California golf history.
