San Diego Country Club is one of Southern California's oldest private clubs, founded in 1897 and situated in Chula Vista after relocating from its original Point Loma home in 1921. The course was designed by Egan & Bell and later refined by William P. Bell, stretching to over 7,000 yards with a demanding slope rating of 136. The club holds a notable place in championship golf history, having hosted the U.S. Women's Open twice, in 1964 and 1993.
