About Allegheny Country Club
Allegheny Country Club is a historic private club founded in the late 19th century in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, featuring a Donald Ross-designed 18-hole layout that has stood as a benchmark of classic golf architecture in the Pittsburgh region. Ross returned to refine the course in 1923, and a 2007 restoration by Brian Silva preserved the prolific bunkering and elevation changes that define the original design. The club has hosted three USGA and PGA championships, including the 1963 PGA Championship, cementing its place among the most significant private clubs in Pennsylvania golf history.
