About Shannopin Country Club
Shannopin Country Club is a historic private club founded in 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, named in honor of Shannopin, a Delaware Chief who inhabited the region in the early 18th century. The 18-hole course was designed by prominent Pittsburgh-area architect Emil Loeffler and hosted the 1954 Pittsburgh Open on the PGA Tour. Playing to a par of 71 across 6,406 yards, the course is characterized by tight fairways, undulating greens, and mature hardwood and pine trees woven throughout the layout.
