About Sedgefield Country Club
Sedgefield Country Club is a historic private club in Greensboro, North Carolina, founded in 1926 around an original Donald Ross design known for its pushed-up greens and demanding course rating of 74.4. The course has hosted professional golf since 1938 and currently serves as the permanent home of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship, making it one of the most tournament-seasoned private venues in the South. A 2007 restoration by Kris Spence returned the layout to Ross's original design intentions, preserving the architectural integrity of one of the Carolinas' most significant golf properties.
