MacGregor Downs Country Club

MacGregor Downs Country Club is a private 18-hole club founded in the late 1960s within the MacGregor Downs residential community of Cary, North Carolina, named for Scottish immigrant Donald MacGregor who once owned the original property. Designed by Willard Byrd, the par-72 championship course stretches over 7,000 yards along Lake MacGregor and carries a slope rating of 139, reflecting its demanding character. The club has hosted notable Carolinas Golf Association events, including the 1988 North Carolina Amateur and the 2012 Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship.
