About Sands Point Golf Club
Sands Point Golf Club is a historic private club founded in 1927 on Long Island's North Shore in Sands Point, New York, set on rolling terrain with views of Long Island Sound. The 18-hole, par-71 course was designed by Golden Age master A.W. Tillinghast and has been carefully preserved through restoration work, including a Rees Jones renovation in 1991 and a 2006 project to reclaim original Tillinghast features. The club has hosted notable regional championships including the 1954 Met PGA Championship and the 1963 Metropolitan Open.
