About The Country Club of Rochester
The Country Club of Rochester, founded in 1895 in Rochester, New York, is one of the oldest private clubs in the state and a landmark of early American golf architecture. The course was redesigned by Donald Ross in 1921, with subsequent work by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Gil Hanse preserving its classic parkland character and signature crowned green complexes. The club has hosted three U.S. Women's Open Championships, with victories by Betsy Rawls (1953), Murle Lindstrom (1962), and Susie Berning (1973).
