About Garden City Golf Club
Garden City Golf Club is a storied private men's club founded in 1899 in Garden City, New York, representing one of America's earliest 18-hole layouts. Originally designed by Devereux Emmet and masterfully reshaped by Walter Travis in 1916, the course is celebrated for its grass-faced bunkers, links-inspired character, and a signature Redan 14th hole. The club has hosted four U.S. Championships, including the 1912 U.S. Open, and its largely intact Golden Age architecture places it among the most historically significant courses on the East Coast.
