About North Jersey Country Club
North Jersey Country Club is a private 18-hole club founded in 1923 in Wayne, New Jersey, originally designed by celebrated architect Walter Travis during the golden age of American golf course architecture. The layout was later reshaped by Hal Purdy following a 1954 highway acquisition, with a subsequent restoration by Brian Silva in 2000 that preserved Travis's distinctive green complexes. The club has hosted several New Jersey State Golf Association championships, including the State Open and State Amateur, cementing its place in Garden State golf history.
