About North Oaks Golf Club
North Oaks Golf Club is a private 18-hole club founded in 1951 on land once belonging to railroad magnate James J. Hill's historic North Oaks Farm in North Oaks, Minnesota. The course was designed by celebrated Canadian architect Stanley Thompson, making it one of his rare American layouts, and stretches to 6,834 yards with a demanding slope rating of 138. A 2007 renovation by Craig Schreiner preserved the course's native oak trees and natural wetlands while refreshing a design that has hosted two Minnesota State Amateur Championships.
