Berkshire Hills Country Club is a private 18-hole club founded in 1921 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, set against the scenic backdrop of the Berkshire mountain ranges. The course was designed by Wayne Styles and John Van Kleek and has hosted the Massachusetts Open three times, in 1934, 1949, and 1978. Playing to a slope rating of 137, the layout is highlighted by the demanding downhill par-3 17th hole, considered one of the most challenging par 3s in the state.
