About Lake Shore Country Club
Lake Shore Country Club is a historic private golf club founded in 1908 along the shores of Lake Michigan in Glencoe, Illinois, one of Chicago's most distinguished North Shore communities. The original 18-hole course was designed by Golden Age architects William B. Langford and Theodore Moreau, featuring dramatic elevation changes and bunkering patterns that have been carefully preserved through restorations by Bob Lohmann in 1991 and Ron Prichard in 2017. The club has hosted notable USGA championships, including the 1949 Western Amateur and the 1972 U.S. Women's Amateur, cementing its place in American golf history.
