About Idle Hour Country Club
Idle Hour Country Club is a historic private club founded in Macon, Georgia, occupying land once known as the Idle Hour Stock Farm. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course was designed by Donald Ross in 1924 and later refined through renovations by architect John LaFoy, retaining the classic domed greens and natural elevation changes characteristic of Ross's work in the region. The club has served as a venue for Georgia State Golf Association championships and remains a cornerstone of central Georgia's private club tradition.
