About Belmont Golf Course
Belmont Golf Course is a historic semi-private course in Lynnhaven, Florida, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1938. The course gained lasting distinction as the site of the 1949 PGA Championship, won by Sam Snead, and has since been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the Best Places to Play. A 2003 restoration by Fred Eskildsen preserved the integrity of Tillinghast's original design across the par-71 layout.
