About Deerwood Country Club
Deerwood Country Club is a private Jacksonville, Florida institution founded in 1960, originally designed by George Cobb, the architect behind Augusta National's celebrated Par-3 Course. A 2004 renovation by John LaFoy modernized the layout to its current championship configuration, stretching 7,223 yards with a demanding slope rating of 144. The club holds a notable place in golf history as a former host of the Tournament Players Championship from 1977 to 1981.
