Hawkstone Country Club is a private 18-hole club in Gainesville, Florida, originally established as Gainesville Golf and Country Club in 1974. The course was designed by George Cobb, known for his strategic use of natural terrain and playability across skill levels, and later restored by Chip Powell in 2004. The club is notable for its challenging par-72 layout, including a signature island-green 16th hole, and hosted the 1998 Florida State Amateur Championship.
