About Stockton Golf & Country Club
Stockton Golf & Country Club is a historic private club founded in 1914 in Stockton, California, with roots in one of the Central Valley's earliest golf communities. The 18-hole, par-72 course was originally designed by Sam Whiting — the architect behind the greens at San Francisco's Olympic Club — and later updated by John F. Harbottle III in 2000. The club notably hosted the 1968 U.S. Women's Open Championship, cementing its place in American golf history.
