About Desert Highlands Golf Club
Desert Highlands Golf Club is a private residential golf community in Scottsdale, Arizona, founded in 1983 and anchored by a Jack Nicklaus-designed championship course stretching 7,099 yards through the dramatic Sonoran Desert landscape. The club gained early national recognition as the site of the inaugural Skins Game in 1983 and is credited as a pioneer in desert course design, blending strategic Nicklaus architecture with striking elevation changes and views of Pinnacle Peak. The course underwent a Nicklaus Design renovation in 2011 to preserve and refine its original intent while maintaining its slope rating of 147.
