Private Clubs Designed by Geoffrey Cornish
1947–2000s
Geoffrey Cornish was New England's most prolific golf course architect, designing or renovating over 230 courses — primarily in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. A protégé of Stanley Thompson, Cornish favored natural, walkable designs that respected existing landforms and worked within modest budgets. He also co-authored 'The Golf Course' — the definitive history of American golf architecture.
