About The Country Club of Birmingham
The Country Club of Birmingham is one of Alabama's oldest and most distinguished private clubs, founded in 1898 and situated in the affluent Mountain Brook community outside Birmingham. Its 36 holes were originally designed by Donald Ross in the mid-1920s, with the West Course later renovated by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1959, producing a layout that plays through significant elevation changes characteristic of the surrounding terrain. The club has twice hosted the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, in 1986 and 2013, cementing its place among the most respected private golf venues in the American Southeast.
