Highlands Country Club is a historic private club founded in 1928 in the mountain resort town of Highlands, North Carolina, with notable origins tied to Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts, the same duo behind Augusta National Golf Club. The original 18-hole course was designed by Donald Ross and later restored in 1995 by Brian Silva, preserving its classic mountain character across rolling highland terrain. The course features a demanding par-3 13th hole with a plunging downhill tee shot, and has hosted USGA qualifying play including a 2008 U.S. Amateur qualifying round.
