About The Suburban Club

The Suburban Club is a historic private golf club in Pikesville, Maryland, founded by members of Baltimore's Jewish community in the early 1900s as a response to exclusionary practices at other area clubs. The 18-hole parkland course was originally designed by Herbert Strong in 1924 and underwent a significant renovation by Keith Foster in 2006, preserving the layout's hallmark elevated greens and strategic bunkering. The club has hosted multiple Maryland State Golf Association championships, including the State Amateur in 1995 and the State Senior Amateur in 2003.
